One of the Costa Blanca ‘s most beautiful coves is undoubtedly Playa de la Granadella, a small rock and pebble beach south of Xàbia (about 80 km from Alicante).
Short and narrow between two vegetation-rich cliffs, Playa de la Granadella is bathed by transparent turquoise waters, perfect for snorkelling and diving. These are calm waters: protected by the cliffs, the sea here is usually calm and therefore suitable for pure relaxation.
Unfortunately, this little paradise is not a secret. In fact, the cala de la Granadella is one of the best known and most frequented coves in Jávea-Xàbia.
If you want more tranquillity, come here in the early morning or late afternoon.
Behind Playa de la Granadella begins Avenida del Tio Català, where some houses used as summer flats are located. They are by far the best option for sleeping a stone’s throw from the beach. However, if you are looking for more amenities, head without hesitation to the villages of Cap de la Nau or Ambolo, where numerous holiday homes, villas and flats await you. You will not find many hotels, unless you move towards Xàbia, or Jávea, where there are many and all types of accommodation.
We offer a selection of hotels at Playa de la Granadella to suit all categories of travellers. The most booked by tourists are the sea-facing hotels, often right on the beach. If you want to play it safe, choose one of the following: they are among the most booked hotels in Playa de la Granadella, sorted by number of reviews.
If you prefer space, privacy and the ability to prepare your own meals to a hotel holiday, book a holiday home at Playa de la Granadella. We recommend a few below, but in this case we advise you to book early because houses and apartments for rent at Playa de la Granadella are in high demand.
Reaching Playa de la Granadella from Alicante by public transport is practically impossible. We recommend renting a car and exploring the area freely.
Taking the AP-7 it will take you just over an hour to get to la Granadella. The beach is accessed via a steep zigzag road: be careful driving.
Although there are two car parks near the beach, on high season days it may be difficult to find a place for your car. Try to arrive early or leave your car some distance away and continue on foot.
