Barcelona is easy to get around on foot. Even if the distances are not exactly small, you just need to arm yourself with willpower and strength to take nice long walks, especially in the Barrio Gotico or the Eixample, where just by walking you can admire the architectural wonders, and the waterfront, from Port Vell to Port Olimpic. Highly recommended to fully enjoy the Barcelona atmosphere!
However, to reach more distant attractions such as Park Guell or Camp Nou, you can’t do without taking public transport or a taxi.
Barcelona’s public transport is one of the best in Europe, efficient and complete. In addition to the 12 metro lines, you can use trams, trains, regular and tourist buses during your holiday in Barcelona.
If you prefer comfort, choose to travel by taxi as they are not overpriced.

There are two airports connected to Italy that serve the city of Barcelona: Barcelona-El Prat Airport and Girona Airport.
The former, El Prat, is the main city airport and is only 13 km from Plaça de Catalunya in the centre of Barcelona. Girona airport, on the other hand, is located over 100 km from Barcelona and is mainly served by low-cost flights.
There is another airport in Catalonia, the airport of Reus, but it has only a few connections.
City Card allow you to save on public transport and / or on the entrances to the main tourist attractions.
