The Hola Barcelona Travel Card (formerly the Hola BCN Card) is a Barcelona public transport pass designed especially for tourists. It allows unlimited travel on the city’s entire public transport network, and can be purchased for 48 to 120 consecutive hours, making it the ideal choice for those coming to Barcelona for a short holiday and planning to use public transport intensively.
Beware that the Hola BCN Card is designed for public transport; it is not a classic tourist card offering free entry to museums and attractions, or discounts in shops and restaurants. For that there are the Barcelona Card and City Pass Barcelona.
By signing up for the Hola Barcelona Travel Card you can travel unlimited on board Barcelona transport for 48 hours (2 days), 72 hours (3 days), 96 hours (4 days) or 120 hours (5 days).
The card is unipersonal and non-transferable, and allows unlimited boarding, for the period of validity of the card, on
Purchasing the Hola BCN Card does not allow free travel on the Aerobus, the direct bus that connects El Prat Airport with the city, stopping at Plaça d’Espanya and Plaça de Catalunya. However, it is still possible to travel for free from the airport to the city centre and vice versa, using the trains and metro or the number 46 bus, all of which are included in the price of the card.
In addition, the Hola BCN Card does not include a free ticket for the city’s tourist buses, nor for the Teleferico del Puerto, the characteristic red cable car that, starting from the port, flies over the Rambla de Mar to arrive at the base of Montjuic. The ticket for the Teleferica de Montjuïc is not included.
The Hola BCN Card can be purchased in 4 denominations of 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours. The prices are as follows:
| 48 hours | 72 hours | 96 hours | 120 hours | |
| Adults and children 4+ | 17,50 Eur | 25.50 Eur | 33.30 Eur | 38,20 Eur |
Children under 4 do not need a Hola Barcelona Travel Card to travel free of charge on public transport.
Those who have chosen a hotel outside the centre, those who plan to use the bus or metro a lot, or simply those who want to optimise their time without having to buy a ticket each time. For these types of tourists, it is absolutely worth doing the Hola BCN Card.
The expense for the card, at least the 2-day one, is in any case amortised almost immediately, as it allows free travel to and from the airport; the alternative is theAerobus, whose round-trip ticket already costs 14 euros; adding a little more than 3 euros you will then have unlimited transport in the city for 48 hours! Speaking of which, if instead of the Hola Barcelona Travel Card’s included means of transport you want to take the Aerobus, consider buying the combined Hola BCN Card + Aerobus ticket to save even more (also includes the city app and discounts on attractions).
The Hola Barcelona Travel Card can be purchased online following this link or by filling out the form below and you can pick it up at one of the Barcelona Tourist Board’s offices. You can also buy it at full price at El Prat Airport, at the automatic machines near the platform.
The card is activated the first time it is used.
To avoid wasting time once you arrive, we recommend that you book the Hola BCN Card conveniently via the Internet; as mentioned, you will receive a voucher with a code by email, which you will use to obtain the physical card at any of the following tourist information centres:
