Dominating the landscape from a rocky promontory, the Portinatx lighthouse, built in 1907, is one of the most iconic symbols of the island’s northern coastline. Another unmissable attraction is the coastal path that connects the different bays. Portinatx is a remote and inconvenient location to reach, with all the pluses and minuses that this entails. You will experience an alternative Ibiza holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the discos and night noises, and the hotel offerings reflect some of this: there are all-inclusive hotels with swimming pools, holiday villages and resorts, alongside family flats and aparthotels. The resort is rather small, but of course we recommend that you stay close to the two beaches so that you can walk to the sea without too much effort.

How to get to Portinatx

Portinatx is located 40 minutes from Ibiza Airport and is the northernmost resort on the island. It can be easily reached from Eivissa and Santa Eularia and by boat from Es Canar and Puerto de San Miquel.

From Eivissa, to get there with a hire car you simply have to follow the entire EI-300 road. The total journey time is 35 minutes, for a distance of about 30 kilometres. If you prefer public transport, take bus L20A departing from the Cetis bus station in Eivissa, located just outside the centre.
