Ibiza map in PDFIbiza is the third largest island in the Balearic archipelago after Majorca and Menorca and boasts more than 210 kilometres of coastline along which long bays of disarming beauty, cliffs and small coves are literally stunning.
35 kilometres long at its widest point and 20 kilometres wide, the island boasts five main resorts , Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Santa Eularia des Riu, Sant Josep de sa Talaia and Sant Joan de Labritja, and is the westernmost of the Mediterranean islands.
The hinterland of Ibiza is mostly hilly and covered with Mediterranean scrub and orchards. The highest point on the island is Sa Talaia at 475 metres.
Two nautical miles from the southern coast of Ibiza is the small island of Formentera, a true natural paradise. Ibiza and Formentera are located in the southern part of the Gulf of Valencia, 80 kilometres from the Spanish coast and an equal number of kilometres from Mallorca. Together with 60 islets, including s’Espardell, s’Espalmador and Penjats, Es Vedra, Es Vedranell, s’Espartat, Bosc, Bledes and Tagomago, they form the Pitiusas islands.
Ibiza is located about 150 kilometres from the city of Valencia and about 100 kilometres from the island of Majorca. The island is about 22 kilometres wide and about 14 kilometres long.
It enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The average temperature in summer is around 27 degrees Celsius. In winter, the average temperature is about 15 degrees Celsius.
