It is a hard truth to accept, but Ibiza is not just about parties until dawn, fiesta and techno music. In fact, the island is also taken by storm by another type of tourist, namely holidaymakers in search of peace and tranquillity. Yes, it might seem a contradiction and in some ways it is, but why ban the island to families, ‘adult’ couples and those who want nothing more than to relax?
The managers of Ibiza’s establishments know this perfectly well, which is why there are numerous holiday villages and resorts on the island, designed for a completely different clientele to the one that in the collective imagination is typical of Ibiza. In these structures, the watchword is luxury and relaxation, to be enjoyed strictly by the sea or by the pool while sipping a cocktail, perhaps even taken free of charge thanks to the all-inclusive formula.
The tourist villages and resorts of Ibiza know how to amaze thanks to their location, their marvellous swimming pools, their cuisine that mixes Spain and the Balearic Islands with a hint of internationality, and sometimes also thanks to their private beaches, fully equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, so as not to miss a single sunset. In the evening then the animation takes off! Of course it won’t be the evenings at Pacha or Ushuaia, but in the holiday villages of Ibiza one is never bored. The entertainment programme, varied and vast, is able to satisfy every kind of clientele, even the youngest or even children.
We begin our review of the best holiday villages and resorts in Ibiza with the Grupotel Ibiza Beach Resort, located in Portinatx, at the northernmost tip of the island. It is part of the Grupotel chain and that alone might be enough to describe it. But if that weren’t enough, the resort has two outdoor pools, a free wellness centre with sauna and Jacuzzi, and a gym.

There are so many things to do at the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa- All Inclusive that sometimes you’ll find it hard to even leave! The location is very quiet and by staying here the hustle and bustle of Ibiza will only be a distant memory.
Relaxation is the watchword at this adults-only establishment, and this is also evident when entering the rooms, which are beautifully furnished and equipped with every comfort. They are all double rooms, many of them with a small private pool. Of these, the most exclusive is the 45-square-metre junior suite King with private pool and sea view, with a balcony and living area with sofa and flat-screen TV. Some rates also include half board, which can be enjoyed in one of the hotel’s 5 restaurants.
In the quiet Santa Eularia des Riu, a resort in Ibiza mainly chosen by couples seeking tranquillity and families, is the TUI MAGIC LIFE Cala Pada – All Inclusive, a resort that is undoubtedly one of the best resorts in Ibiza. It is located in a remote position, along the road that connects Santa Eularia to Es Canar, about 500 metres from the nearest beach. But the ‘remoteness’ from the sea is more than compensated for by the pool area, with slides for the little ones, a bridge and a magnificent setting.
Amenities at this Ibiza resort include a kids’ club, two beach volleyball courts with a sunbed area, yoga classes offered in the mornings, access to the beach via a private path and the presence of three restaurants, which do a great job of providing guests with all the food they have earned by purchasing the all-inclusive formula.
In tiny San Josè, on the east coast of Ibiza within the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, is the 7Pines Resort Ibiza, part of Destination by Hyatt, another of Ibiza’s best resorts thanks and above all to its extraordinary setting, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. There is a beautiful swimming pool from which to watch the sunset behind the island of Es Vedrà, and two other pools that together with two saunas, a Turkish bath, water showers and sun beds, a food truck, an eco-friendly kids club and a lagoon area complete the facilities of this wonderful resort.
The highlight of the resort are the three bars and restaurants, including The View, included in the Michelin Guide since 2023, the Cone Club offering exquisite cocktails and tapas, and the Pershing Yacht Terrrace, an enchanting setting with fusion cuisine.
