Although now a world-famous brand, Pacha is a name inextricably linked to Ibiza; its logo, cherries, is synonymous with clubbing in style. If Ibiza is indeed synonymous with nightlife, Pacha is the beating heart of the party. With its history, legendary nights and unique atmosphere, this club is a must for those who want to experience the island to the fullest
The first club on the island, and the first of what would later become an international chain, was opened in 1973 in a finca in Ibiza town. After four decades it is still one of the most successful discos in Ibiza: beloved even by locals, it is a must for first-time visitors to the island.
Many artists and DJs have graced Pacha’s stage here, including such greats as Bob Sinclair, Steve Aoki, Solomun and David Guetta, who has amplified the club’s already stellar reputation over the past decade, especially with his F*** me I’m Famous party.
Today, the level of Pacha is such that only the world’s most famous DJs can play here.
The evenings at Pacha are many and varied. Among the most famous are:
At Pacha you can also take advantage of some VIP services to make your night truly memorable: it all starts on arrival at the club, where you will have an exclusive car park waiting for you right in front of the entrance. An entrance that is private, designed specifically to skip the queue. Once inside, you will be welcomed by hostesses who will provide a personalised service, accompanying you to your table. Your table will be strictly VIP, meaning you will have everything you need directly on your table.
Finally, you will have free access to the private area, to enjoy the evening in the exclusive VIP area of Pacha.
To gain access to VIP services, reservations must be made in advance by phone.
Evenings at Pacha are always glamorous and trendy, and a dress code selection is made at the entrance. Men should dress smart but casual, always with long trousers. For women, entry is much easier: a full dress or a fashionable outfit is enough to get in. However, check carefully the guidelines of the event you plan to attend: for example, during Flower Power evenings, wearing 60s accessories is a must!
Admission tickets to Pacha can be purchased on site or online. The cost of tickets, however, varies enormously depending on the day and the event. Just to give you a measure of things, special nights with the most famous DJs can cost up to 70 euros, not including drinks. Other days, on the other hand, entry is more affordable, with tickets priced around 30 euros.
It is possible to book in advance or take advantage of promo packages, even on site, for example at the port of Ibiza. However, for special nights or those where more crowds are expected, we strongly recommend booking online.
Getting to Pacha is easy as it is located in Eivissa, near the harbour, in the Talamanca district. If you’re already in town you can even get there on foot, following the signs, but if you’re staying in another part of Ibiza you might even want to take a taxi. From Playa d’en Bossa you can expect 15-20 euros for a 10-15 minute ride, while from San Antonio both prices and times double.
You can also get to Pacha by hire car: put the address Avenida 8 de Agosto, 07800, Eivissa on your navigator. Once there, the club has a car park, but this can fill up very quickly, especially on busy evenings.
Better perhaps to take advantage of the Discobus, a night bus service in Ibiza that, among other stops, also stops at Pacha, with shuttles operating from midnight to dawn. The cost is much cheaper than a taxi, but if your party is 3 or 4 people, perhaps the latter is better.
Pacha is located in the Talamanca district, a small area north of the port of Eivissa. Talamanca is a very upmarket and exclusive area. In fact, in addition to Pacha there is also the casino and several hotels, some of them very upmarket like the famous Ibiza Gran Hotel.
But apart from that, if you want to have a real experience, you should know that Pacha also has its own hotel! El Hotel Pacha is located practically next to the nightclub and of course everything is themed, including the bright neon colours that tint the façade at nightfall.
The Pacha nightclub was founded in 1967 in Sitges by Ricardo Urgell, a visionary of the times who wanted to create a space that combined music, fun and freedom; in 1973 it opened in Ibiza, known at the time for its hippie and alternative spirit. During the early years it attracted artists and curious personalities, but from the 1980s onwards, as electronic music rose to prominence, it was one of the first clubs to host international DJs, so much so that it quickly became a status symbol of electronic music and the Ibizan lifestyle.
By the 1990s it was one of the most famous clubs in the world, so much so that its success allowed the brand to expand to other places in the world, such as London, Buenos Aires and Sydney. With the explosion of electronic music as a globally popular genre, Pacha continued to innovate, hosting artists such as David Guetta, Solomun, Claptone and many others.
Today, Pacha continues to thrive, but has become much more than a nightclub, transforming into a full-fledged brand that includes the Destino Pacha Resort, El Hotel Pacha, the cabaret-restaurant Lío and a fashion line.
The Pacha in Ibiza is located on Av. 8 d'Agost, a street very close to the port of Eivissa and not far from the old town.
