Cala Tarida is a beautiful beach bathed by a shallow sea that lies within a large sheltered bay along Ibiza’s south-west coast.
The bay, rocky on the left-hand side, consists of fine white sand and is nestled between low hills, where several tourist resorts and numerous flats for rent can be found, and a sea that fades from turquoise to emerald blue.
900 metres long and 25 metres wide, equipped and with excellent restaurants, Tarida is the longest white beach on this part of the island and is particularly popular with families with children, as it is safe for play, and with snorkelling enthusiasts.
Cala Tarida is located about 35 minutes by car from Eivissa. It can be reached by travelling east along the EI-700 and PM-803 roads. The beach is also well suited for a day trip to explore the west coast of Ibiza, which also touches on Cala Comte, Cala Vedella and Cala d’Hort. From Cala Comte, for example, it takes only 10 minutes to reach Cala Tarida.
Alternatively, if you are coming from other parts of Ibiza, Cala Tarida is only 10 minutes from Sant Josep de sa Talaia and 15 from San Antonio.
Cala Tarida is a destination for boat tours in Ibiza: reaching it by sea is simply spectacular!
Cala Tarida is located in a heavily urbanised area of Ibiza and in its immediate surroundings there are numerous, even excellent, accommodation options. It is overlooked by the famous Hotel Vibra Cala Tarida to the north and Insotel Club Tarida Playa to the south, while about halfway inland is the TUI BLUE Tarida Beach.
Next to them, you will have the choice between flats for rent, also within residences, and several villas with swimming pools, located in dominant positions from which you can admire a splendid panorama of Cala Tarida and the Ibiza coastline.
Cala Tarida is located southwest of San Antonio, the closest tourist centre to it. It faces the west coast of Ibiza in a secluded and quiet location.
