Cala Llonga

The beach of Cala Llonga lies within a magnificent horseshoe-shaped bay along the east coast of Ibiza and is enclosed by hills covered with Mediterranean scrub. 180 metres long and 100 metres wide, the white sandy beach is located in front of a small village and is an idyllic destination for those who wish to combine a quiet environment with all amenities.

Equipped and offering a variety of water sports, Cala Llonga is bathed by shallow waters that make it particularly popular with families. A children’s playground is located directly on the beach.

Cala Llonga is located halfway between Eivissa and Santa Eularia, both of which can be reached in just 10 minutes by car.

Things to do in Cala Llonga

The main beach is the real jewel of the resort, with its wide expanse of fine white sand and gently sloping crystal-clear waters. The bay is fully equipped with sunbeds, parasols and complete bathing facilities. Special attention is paid to children, with a play area on the beach and a dedicated area with water slides.

The promenade offers a pleasant promenade lined with restaurants, bars and shops. The promenade is particularly lively in the evening hours, when clubs come alive and offer live entertainment in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

The surrounding cliffs offer excellent opportunities for short scenic hikes. Well-marked footpaths lead to vantage points offering spectacular views of the bay and the surrounding coastline. The sunset from these vantage points is particularly impressive.

Water sports enthusiasts will find excellent facilities here for various activities. The nautical centre offers the possibility of hiring pedal boats, kayaks and snorkelling equipment. The calm waters of the bay are ideal for beginners, while the side areas with rocky seabeds attract snorkelling enthusiasts.

How to get to Cala Llonga

Cala Llonga is one of Ibiza’s closest coves to Eivissa: the distance from the island’s capital is only 10 kilometres, with a journey time never exceeding 20 minutes. To get there, simply drive east along the PMV-810-1 road. It is also easy to get there from Santa Eularia des Riu: the road to take is still PMV-810-1, but this time you travel south for 5 kilometres. From here it won’t take you more than 10 minutes to reach your destination.

Where to stay in Cala Llonga

Just behind Cala Llonga you will find an apartment complex, a 4-star hotel and a 5-star hotel. You will definitely be spoilt for choice! These solutions, however, are more expensive than normal, mainly due to their privileged location. To sleep in Cala Llonga and save some money, go a few hundred metres away and you will find other accommodation such as holiday homes, villas for rent, residences and flats of all kinds.

Finally, if you prefer to stay in Ibiza surrounded by amenities, the closest resort to Cala Llonga is Santa Eularia des Riu, where you will have plenty of choice of hotels and flats.
